About the role

Shape how public assets are planned and managed across NSW — delivering real outcomes for communities through high impact advisory work.

The Asset Management Advisor plays a key role in shaping how public assets are planned, managed and optimised across NSW. You will deliver asset management advisory projects that directly support client organisational objectives and deliver lasting community value.

We are in search of a highly skilled Asset Management Advisor to provide best practice strategic and operational asset management advice to local and state government clients.

You will undertake asset management planning at both portfolio and asset class levels, providing asset management advice for buildings, infrastructure and public spaces, that directly contributes to the amenity and liveability of NSW communities.

Your ability to collaborate with senior team members and other stakeholders on the delivery of asset management projects will ensure the application of mandatory standards and best practice asset management principles across government.

You will work across a diverse portfolio mix of local and state government projects, enabling you to contribute to initiatives that support community outcomes, helping clients lift their asset management maturity, strengthen asset knowledge and make better long-term decisions.

About you

We are looking for an experienced asset management professional who enjoys working closely with clients, solving complex problems and delivering practical outcomes. To thrive in this role, you will demonstrate:

- 5 years of experience in strategic and tactical asset management; and exposure to financial elements.
- Knowledge of the practical application of asset management standards and best practices as they relate to government agencies.
- Skills in analysing, sorting and prioritising asset information and financial data.
- Partnership with diverse teams of senior managers and stakeholders to ensure innovative and sustainable solutions.
- High level interpersonal and people management skills.
- High level writing skills and accurate preparation of reports.
- Heritage experience is desirable.
