We provide accounting, taxation, compliance and business advisory services to individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises, high-net-worth clients and internationally connected businesses. Our diverse client portfolio spans industries including property development, hospitality, retail, information technology, professional services, healthcare, international trade and primary production.

With a cross-border client base and strong connections across Australia and Greater China, we assist businesses and investors in navigating Australian accounting, taxation and regulatory requirements while meeting their broader management and overseas reporting needs.

As our client base continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced full time General Accountant to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality accounting, reporting, compliance and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare financial statements, management accounts and other financial reports for companies, trusts, partnerships, sole traders and other business entities.

· Examine clients’ income, expenditure, operating costs and financial performance, and provide practical recommendations to management.

· Prepare budgets, cash-flow forecasts and financial analyses to support business planning and decision-making.

· Establish, maintain and review accounting systems, internal controls, bookkeeping processes and financial records.

· Assist clients with business registrations, entity structures, accounting setup and ongoing ATO, ASIC and other regulatory obligations.

· Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements, income tax returns and other statutory reports accurately and within applicable deadlines.

· Set up and review payroll, Single Touch Payroll,



SuperStream and related employer-compliance processes, and provide client training where required.

· Assist with tax planning, ATO reviews and audits, R&D; Tax Incentive matters and SMSF reporting according to the accountant’s experience.

· Support overseas investors and internationally connected businesses with cross-border accounting, compliance, management reporting and overseas head-office requirements, particularly between Australia and Greater China.

· Build strong client relationships, maintain complete working papers and ensure all work complies with applicable accounting, professional, ethical and internal quality-control requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

· A bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance or a closely related discipline.

· A minimum of three years’ relevant accounting experience, preferably in Australian public practice.

· Experience working with clients from diverse industries and in cross-border or cross-continental business environments.

· Demonstrated knowledge of the business, financial and regulatory environment in Mainland China.

· Proven ability to provide accounting, taxation and advisory services to clients operating between Australia and Greater China.

· Experience supporting cross-border accounting, financial reporting, taxation and regulatory compliance requirements.

· Strong cross-cultural communication skills and the ability to assist clients navigating Australian and Chinese business practices.

· Sound knowledge of Australian taxation legislation, accounting standards and ATO and ASIC compliance obligations.

· The ability to reconcile Australian accounting and compliance requirements with overseas reporting requirements where appropriate.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
