Life Your Way
Emu Plains
At Life Your Way, we don’t ask you to leave parts of yourself at the door.
We believe the best support happens when people are encouraged to bring their whole self to work — their interests, their energy, their lived experience, and the things they genuinely enjoy doing. That’s how real connection is built, and how meaningful lives are shaped.
Whether your background is in art or crafts, cooking and nutrition, fitness or personal training, bush walking and the outdoors, music, sport, or simply being great with people — there’s space for that here.
About Life Your Way
Life Your Way supports people to grow, connect, and live well through community-based, real-world experiences. Our work is about empowerment, not dependency. We focus on helping people build skills, confidence, and identity through participation in everyday life.
Our team is made up of people who care deeply, think reflectively, and understand that support work is both relational and professional.
The Role
As a Support Worker, you’ll work alongside individuals and groups, supporting them to engage with their community, build daily living skills, improve health and wellbeing, and explore activities that matter to them.
No two days look the same. One shift might involve cooking and meal planning, another might be a gym session or bush walk, and another might be a group social outing or creative project. What matters is not the activity itself, rather how you support, encourage, and empower along the way.
We are particularly interested in people who can bring their interests, hobbies, or qualified background into the work in a way that enriches the lives of the people we support.
Who You Are
You’re someone who enjoys working with people and believes that learning happens best through doing. You’re comfortable being yourself, while also understanding the importance of boundaries,
professionalism, and clear communication.
You don’t need to have all the answers — but you do need curiosity, patience, and the ability to reflect and adapt. Experience in disability or community work is valued, but it’s not everything. Attitude, integrity, and the way you show up matter more.
What It’s Like to Work With Us
Life Your Way is a values-led organisation. We provide clear expectations, thoughtful supervision, and a team culture that supports growth — not burnout. Our staff are trusted to bring ideas, shape programs, and contribute meaningfully to the communities they support.
You won’t be boxed into a rigid role or asked to “just fill hours”. You’ll be part of something that values quality, connection, and purpose.
What You’ll Need
You’ll need (or be willing to obtain) an NDIS Worker Screening Check and First Aid/CPR, hold a driver’s licence and have access to a reliable vehicle, and be comfortable working in community and group settings, including some weekends.
Our Values
We live our values through action:
- Inclusivity — everyone belongs
- Empowerment — support that builds independence
- Integrity — doing the right thing, even when it’s not easy
- Adaptability — meeting people where they are
If you’re looking for work where you can genuinely be yourself, use what you love to support others, and be part of a team that cares deeply about doing things well, we’d love to hear from you.
