Our client, Aussie Skip Bin Hire Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced Welder to join their team.

Tasks Include:

- Perform MIG, TIG and ARC welding on steel skip bins, truck bodies, trailers and other waste management equipment.
- Fabricate recent skip bins, steel containers, frames, doors, lids and structural components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Repair damaged or worn skip bins by cutting, replacing and welding steel plates, reinforcing structural sections and restoring equipment to operational condition.
- Interpret technical drawings, measurements and fabrication plans to accurately manufacture and repair metal components.
- Operate welding machines, plasma cutters, oxy cutting equipment, grinders, drills and other fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
- Inspect welded components to ensure structural integrity, durability and compliance with Australian quality and safety standards.
- Grind, smooth and finish welded surfaces to achieve high-quality workmanship.
- Assist with the assembly, modification and installation of steel components used in skip bins, trailers and waste handling equipment.




- Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs on workshop equipment, skip bins and related metal structures.
- Maintain accurate records of fabrication, repairs and maintenance activities.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with workshop staff to meet production schedules, repair deadlines and customer requirements.

Qualifications and other requirements

- Have a Certificate III qualification or higher in welding/fabricating.
- At least 1 year of experience as a welder in the last 5 years, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
- Knowledge of metal properties, welding quality control, and industry standards.
- Good physical condition and stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong safety focus and understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
