Disability and Mental Health Support Workers

CareCo Services is looking for fun, engaging and experienced Disability and Mental Health Support Workers. We want people who genuinely enjoy their work, connect naturally with others and can create positive experiences while providing protected and reliable support.

Our shifts are varied and may include community access, transport, appointments, social activities and support within a participant’s home. One day you might be helping someone attend an event, explore a new activity or achieve a personal goal. Another day may involve meal preparation, household tasks, emotional support or simply providing good company.

Your responsibilities may include:

- Supporting participants at home and in the community
- Planning enjoyable and meaningful activities
- Providing transport to appointments, shopping and social outings
- Supporting people living with psychosocial disability
- Assisting with daily living tasks and meal preparation
- Providing companionship, mentoring and emotional support
- Following individual support plans and behaviour support strategies
- Completing transparent and accurate shift documentation
- Supporting participant choice, independence and personal goals

Qualifications and experience:

- Certificate IV in Mental Health, Disability Support or a related qualification is preferred, or
- At least three years of relevant experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year

Licence/Certification:

- National Police Certificate (Preferred)
- Driver Licence (Preferred)
- NDIS Workers Screening (Preferred)
- NDIS Orientation Certificate (Preferred)
- Infection Control Certificate (Preferred)
- Full Driver Licence (Preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (Preferred)
