An exciting opportunity has become available for a casual Radiographer to join the team at Nepean Hospital. In conjunction with the Chief Radiographer, Director of Radiology and the Head of Vascular Surgery,



the Senior Radiographer/ Chief Cardiac Technologist will manage the vascular ultrasound service and discharge the associated administrative duties.

The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced technical proficiency in vascular ultrasound, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to quality and safety. You will have extensive experience in a hospital or clinical setting, with the ability to manage a diverse and sometimes complex caseload with professionalism and efficiency. The Section Senior has proven ability to work independently, expertly performing complex and routine procedures at the direction of the Supervising Radiologist/ Surgeon or visiting Consultants.

What you will bring to the role

- Possess the following qualifications and registrations: Cardiac technologist: Recognised Sonography qualification and current registration with ASAR. Radiographer: 1. A Degree in Medical Radiation Science in Diagnostic Radiography and a recognised Sonography qualification 2. Registration with AHPRA as a Medical Radiation Practitioner. 3. I14 Radiation Licence from NSW EPA. 4. Registration with ASAR"
- Demonstrated high standard of knowledge, clinical experience in Vascular ultrasound across a range of examinations.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, instruct and mentor other MRS’s and undergraduates.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience and proven ability to fully manage all aspects of a sectional modality. This will include the ability to supervise, instruct and mentor junior members of staff.
- Demonstrated well developed problem solving skills.
