Malay Malay is a restaurant based in Sydney Haymarket. It has quickly become Ultimo’s favourite, serving over 1200 patrons weekly and creating an exciting dine-in and take-away experience that you will love.

We mainly focus on offering mouth-watering, delicious, authentic Australian Malaysian food. We also offer a warm, friendly dining environment for corporate functions

Malay Malay Management is seeking applications from experienced and passionate chefs to join our kitchen team in Sydney CBD, located on Ultimo Rd Haymarket.

The ideal candidate/s will have the following skills and experience:

● 1- 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

● Strong understanding of produce, stock control, culinary techniques, and kitchen equipment

● The ability to work in a quick-paced atmosphere

● Complete all work responsibilities and assignments on time.

● Competently cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner services

● Anticipate and attend to the guest’s requirements and desires immediately.

● Demonstrate superior recipe knowledge for every item on the restaurant’s menus

● Ensure full implementation of the HACCP code of practice





● Maintain a harmonious relationship with other members

● Maintain high standards and lead by example

● A passion for great food and exceptional customer service.

● Current Food Safety Certificate or willing to obtain.

Key Qualifications & experience

● Leadership, team management, customer service, outstanding communication skills, self-driven with outstanding managerial skills with a minimum of Cert IV in Kitchen Management or higher qualification in a similar stream.

As a successful candidate, you will be offered an immediate start and a negotiable salary
