Role: Delivery Driver , Warehouse, All Rounder (Hourly - Full Time)

Sydney Plant Co & Sydney Garden Distributors are seeking a reliable, energetic and positive individual to join our small, friendly and dynamic team.

Our primary office and warehouse is based in Alexandria 2015. We deliver daily to a wide range of customers including landscapers, builders, garden centres, and hardware stores across Greater Sydney, the Central Coast, and Newcastle.

We also operate a nursery in Dural (Postcode 2158), where occasional work may be required.

Our fleet of modern vans & trucks include two Mercedes Benz Sprinters (car licence) & two Isuzu trucks (MR truck licence). All vans are high roof and long wheelbase. Vehicles are fitted with GPS trackers and dash cam monitoring. We take pride in our fleet and do our best to keep them clean & maintained.

The role is 30-40 hours/week, Monday to Friday. Starting times are between 7-8am at our Alexandria warehouse (and on occasion Dural).

Additional hours are expected in peak season (September-December) and are fully compensated.

What we're looking for:

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of practical experience, reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude. To be successful in this role, you should have:

- 1 year+ experience driving vans or commercial vehicles
- Neat, clean & professional appearance
- High level of attention to detail
- Fluent in English
- Valid full Drivers licence, with safe driving record.
- Physical fitness and the ability to safely lift and manoeuvre heavy items using correct techniques
- Excellent customer service and communication skills during all customer interactions
- A reliable, punctual, and team-oriented approach to work
- A forklift and/or LR truck licence is an advantage but not essential.



Candidates will be upskilled by the company if required.

What to you'll be doing

This is a hands-on role that combines delivery driving with warehouse responsibilities. Your duties will include:

- Receiving, unloading, and processing incoming stock and inventory
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment
- Accurately picking and packing customer orders to meet quality standards
- Conducting stock takes to ensure inventory accuracy
- Efficiently loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- Safely operating delivery vehicles to transport goods to customers
- Performing scheduled pickups and deliveries of stock and green life (plants)
- Handling stock manually and safely (including green life)
- Assisting with regular cleaning and upkeep of the vehicle fleet
- Occasionally supporting operations at our nursery site in Dural

Positions start on a casual rate of pay for the first 6 months (includes a loading for sick leave & annual leave). Full time hours are available for the right candidate.

After 6 months a full time permanent position is available.
