Grade 3 Classroom Teacher

Salary Range: $79,589 - $118,063 (depending on experience and in accordance with the applicable Enterprise Agreement)

Location: Melton Area, Melbourne

Employment Type: Full-Time | Fixed-Term (Remainder of 2026) with strong potential for ongoing employment

About the Role





An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Grade 3 Classroom Teacher to join a collaborative middle primary teaching team for the remainder of the 2026 school year.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated learning programs aligned with the Victorian Curriculum while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture where students feel supported to achieve their personal best.

The Grade 3 class is well established, with a typical mix of learners and only minor behavioural or learning support requirements. This role would suit a confident classroom practitioner who enjoys working collaboratively while maintaining autonomy within their own classroom.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Grade 3 learning programs aligned with the Victorian Curriculum

- Differentiate instruction to support the diverse academic and wellbeing needs of students

- Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom workplace

- Assess student progress and use data to inform teaching practice

- Build strong professional relationships with students, families and colleagues

- Work collaboratively within a professional learning team to enhance student outcomes





- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community

You will have:

- Current or pending Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration

- Relevant teaching qualifications

- Demonstrated experience teaching within a primary school setting, ideally in the middle primary years

- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills

- A commitment to evidence-based teaching and continuous professional learning

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Full Australian working rights (applicants requiring employer sponsorship are unable to be considered)
