Senior Accountant / Manager

An established and highly regarded accounting practice in the Geelong region is seeking a Senior Accountant or Manager to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting skilled looking to work with a diverse client base, take ownership of client relationships, mentor junior team members and progress their career within a supportive professional environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for a combination of accounting, taxation, compliance and client advisory activities, including:

- Preparing financial statements, financial reports and tax returns

- Managing accounting and tax compliance requirements for a diverse client portfolio

- Providing technical and non-technical advice to clients

- Developing and maintaining robust client relationships

- Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

- Mentoring and developing junior accountants

- Working independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team

- Supporting clients with practical, commercially focused accounting advice

About You

The successful candidate will have:

- An accounting-related degree

- 3+ years of professional public practice accounting experience for Senior Accountant level

- 7+ years of relevant experience for Manager level





- CA/CPA qualified or nearing completion

- Strong understanding of accounting and taxation principles

- Proven experience preparing financial statements and tax returns

- Strong client-facing and advisory capabilities

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to manage responsibilities independently while working effectively within a team

- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills

- A proactive and professional approach to client service

Highly regarded

- Experience with Xero

- Experience with FYI

- Existing experience working with clients in the Geelong region

Salary Guide:
Senior Accountant: Dependent on experience
Manager: Potential package around $170K + super for the right level of experience.
