Responsibilities
As the Training Advisor, you will take ownership of training coordination, onboarding, and capability development initiatives across the organisation. Working closely with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and operational leaders, you will support the delivery of effective training programs that enhance employee capability, compliance, and performance.
This role is suited to an experienced Training Coordinator, Learning & Development professional, or Training Advisor who enjoys working autonomously, improving processes, and creating structured learning pathways within a growing business.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Training Coordination: Manage the end-to-end coordination of training activities, including scheduling, attendance tracking, assessments,
competency sign-offs, and certification requirements.
- Onboarding & Induction: Support and enhance onboarding processes to ensure new employees have a structured and engaging introduction to the business, systems, and ways of working.
- Capability Development: Develop and maintain learning pathways, competency frameworks, and training resources to support employee growth and operational capability.
- Training Systems & Compliance: Maintain accurate training records, monitor compliance requirements, track certification renewals, and provide reporting on training completion and capability metrics.
- Field Service Training Program: Take ownership of the Field Service Training Program, coordinating delivery, assessments, and competency requirements with key stakeholders.
- Learning Content Management: Maintain training materials, documentation, procedures, and supporting resources to ensure they remain current and effective.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with Team Leaders, subject matter experts, managers, and internal stakeholders to understand training needs and deliver practical learning solutions.
- Training Reporting & Analytics: Provide insights and reporting on training activity, compliance, capability gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve training processes, systems, and learning initiatives to support business growth and employee capability.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Training and Development professional who enjoys taking ownership of learning initiatives and supporting a growing organisation. You will have robust coordination skills, excellent stakeholder engagement capability, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Previous experience in a Training Coordinator, Training Advisor, Learning & Development Coordinator, or similar role.
- Experience managing training administration, onboarding programs, competency frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively with operational teams and subject matter experts.
- Experience working with learning management systems, training databases, or HR systems.
- Solid organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to analyse training data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Experience within a technical, manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or operational environment will be highly regarded.
