Due to increasing demand, Havcon Engineering are looking for Boilermaker / Welders to join our growing team, based in Harvey, Western Australia for an immediate start.

Your responsibilities:
- Provide daily reliable transport to & from work.
- Ensuring you are reliable & punctual for each of your required shifts.
- Reporting to the Workshop Leading Hand & Supervisor.
- Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering.
- Marking out: using tools to mark dimensions on materials.
- Assembly and Welding: joining parts through welding or bolting
- Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision
- Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions.
- Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding
- Ensuring the workshop environment is safe & that all personnel are protected from any potential hazards.
- Consult & liaise with management & supervisors, on all safety & environmental issues.
- Influence, support & maintain a positive team culture within the workshop environment.
This role requires:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in same role
- Trade qualification as a Boilermaker / Welder
- Manual driver’s licence
- Experience in manufacturing of structural steel, plate work & chutes
- Ability to read & interpret fabrication drawings
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability & willingness to work Day & Afternoon shift (8hr afternoon shift)
- Minimum working hours are 38 hours per week with additional overtime available
- Must reside within 100km of Harvey WA, or willing and able to relocate
- Adhoc site work in close proximity to the Harvey workshop
