Help lead a babies program that's been part of our community for more than 50 years.
Some of the parents bringing their babies to lessons today first learnt to swim here themselves. That's the kind of place Yarra Swim School is.
We're looking for someone who loves working with babies and toddlers to lead our Parent and Infant Program. We want someone who's excited to bring their own songs, games, ideas and teaching style to the pool, rather than simply following someone else's lesson plan.
About the role
You'll teach 30-minute Parent and Infant classes for children aged six months to three years, with a parent or carer in the water alongside them.
This is a permanent Saturday position (minimum four hours). You'll primarily lead our Parent and Infant Program, with opportunities to teach other learn-to-swim levels when needed.
For the right person, there's genuine potential to help shape the future of the program and grow into a leadership role over time.
What we offer
- Permanent Saturday position (minimum four hours)
- Lead an established Babies & Infant Program trusted by local families for more than 50 years
- Genuine opportunity to shape the future of the program
- Ongoing professional development and support to gain additional qualifications
- Indoor 25 m heated pool, heated to 31°C
- Staff room, kitchen, free in office parking, and a staff rash vest provided

You'll need
- AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification (or willingness to obtain)
- Infant and Preschool Aquatics qualification (or willingness to obtain)
- Current CPR certificate
- Working with Children Check
