Waverley Council is seeking an organised and customer-focused Booking Officer to join our team.

This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working the community, coordinate bookings, and delivering high-quality customer service

The Role

As a Booking Officer you will be responsible for managing enquiries, processing bookings, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the smooth delivery of Council facilities and services, you will work closely with internal teams, customers, stakeholders to ensure seamless booking experience from enquiry through completion.

About You

- Appropriate tertiary or other qualifications or equivalent experience in hospitality, events or venue management related fields.
- Demonstrated experience in venue management, event planning and delivery.
- Good organisation skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Experience with accounts payable and receivable,



as well as EFTPOS and cash payment processing.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines, manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to discern aggressive behaviour.
- Minimum intermediate level computer literacy across Microsoft suite and databases.
- Ability to safely set up venues, festivals, events and functions while adhering to manual handling.
