Remuneration package valued at up to $156,253.00. Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.

Position Information
The recent Medowie High School will open to Year 7 students only at the start of Term 1, 2027. Located in Port Stephens on Worimi Country, the school serves a vibrant semi-rural community.
Recognising the unique opportunities and challenges of opening a new school, the successful applicant will work closely with the principal and executive team to establish high-quality programs, systems, structures and processes to support excellence and equity. The role includes contributing to the development of a positive, inclusive and high-expectations school culture, while supporting the establishment of innovative and evidence-informed English programs and practices that promote student curiosity, inquiry and achievement.
Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach English 7-12 and English Extensions 1 & 2.
- Demonstrated capacity to apply data as well as evidence-informed teaching strategies to meet individual student needs, reflecting High Potential Gifted Education and Inclusion policy.
- Ability to contribute to a cohesive new school culture and actively participate in school-wide innovative planning to support student growth and achievement.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
