Disability Support Workers Needed for Behavioural and Complex Needs Clients in Canberra!

We’re looking for committed, hands-on people who thrive on making a genuine difference. As a Support Worker, you’ll help participants achieve their goals.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Support Worker, every day will be different but every day will matter. You will:

- Build solid, respectful relationships with participants to understand their needs, preferences, and goals
- Provide personal care and hygiene support with dignity and sensitivity
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and organising household routines
- Support participants to engage with their community — attending appointments, joining social activities, or enjoying recreational outings
- Encourage independence by teaching and reinforcing life skills in a supportive way
- Provide emotional support, helping participants navigate challenges and celebrate achievements
- Communicate effectively with family members, health professionals,



and the care team to ensure consistent, high-quality support
- Follow individual care plans and document progress, incidents, or changes in needs

Qualifications

- Certificate III or IV in Disability (or equivalent)
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Working with Vulnerable People / Working with Children Check
- Experience or confidence supporting clients with behavioural and complex needs (highly regarded)
- A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle (preferred, for community access shifts)
