Waverley Council is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Major Projects team and lead the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of Council projects.

About the role

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing, managing and delivering Council projects in accordance with Council’s project management framework.

You will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards, while effectively managing project risks and opportunities.

Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, consultants, contractors and community representatives, using a range of engagement methods to achieve successful project outcomes

Skills & Experience

- Tertiary qualification in Project Management,



Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar related area.
- Demonstrated project management experience in the planning and delivery of capital works in the public and/or private sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and leading groups of multi-disciplinary professionals in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated experience in design and construction stage procurement and contract administration.
- Commitment, experience and knowledge in improving the environmental performance of projects.
- Demonstrated knowledge of legislation, regulations, design standards, and code of practice in relation to the construction and management of infrastructure.
- Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, advocacy and consultation skills with a robust customer focus.
- An understanding of and commitment to EEO.
- White Card General Safety Induction Training.
- Current Class C Driver’s License.
