About the Role

MRL Global is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant (General) to join our Finance team at our Milperra, NSW Head Office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting qualified with at least 1 year of relevant experience who is looking to develop their career within a fast-growing logistics and supply chain organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Maintain the general ledger and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Process journals, accruals, and month-end reporting activities.
- Prepare BAS, IAS and assist with taxation compliance.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
- Perform bank, payroll and supplier reconciliations.
- Analyse financial data and provide recommendations to management.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and company policies.
- Support internal and external audit requirements.
- Assist with continuous improvement of finance processes and reporting systems.





Essential Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience using accounting software (such as Xero, MYOB, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Desirable

- CPA or CA membership (or currently studying towards CPA/CA).
- Experience in the logistics, freight, transport or supply chain industry.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and GST compliance.
