Scotts Palm Beach is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our busy kitchen team in Palm Beach, Queensland. This is a full-time permanent position (38 hours per week) offering the opportunity to work in a quick-paced hospitality environment committed to quality food and exceptional customer service.

$76,515 - $85,000 per annum plus superannuation (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards.
Assist in developing seasonal menus and daily specials.
Monitor food quality, presentation and portion control.
Estimate food requirements and place orders with suppliers.
Maintain stock levels and minimise food wastage.
Ensure compliance with Food Safety Standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Supervise and train kitchen staff where required.
Coordinate food preparation to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment and work areas.
Work collaboratively with management to improve menu offerings and kitchen efficiency.
Essential Requirements
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma of Hospitality Management, or equivalent qualification.
At least 2 years of relevant full-time Chef experience (or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and commercial kitchen operations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
Desirable
Experience working in high-volume restaurants.
Knowledge of contemporary Australian cuisine and international flavours.
Leadership experience supervising kitchen staff.
