Shape Exceptional Guest Experiences at Sydney's Most Loved Experiential Hotel

Join our dynamic team as Venues Reservations & Events Planning Executive, where you will oversee the end-to-end reservation and event-planning journey across PIER dining and PIER BAR.

Acting as the key link between our guests and venue operations, you will manage venues reservations, group bookings, venue inventory and guest communications, ensuring every booking is handled seamlessly from initial enquiry through to arrival.

This role is ideal for an organised, guest-focused hospitality professional with strong restaurant operations knowledge and systems capability. You will take ownership of SevenRooms and IRIS, optimise venue utilisation and identify revenue opportunities while protecting service standards and the overall guest experience.

You'll be the go-to expert for our reservation platforms, using data, insights, and guest engagement strategies to enhance service, and unlock revenue opportunities across our venues

What You'll Be Doing

Own the Guest Journey

- Manage restaurant reservations, group bookings, and event enquiries across phone, email, and SevenRooms.
- Deliver personalised and engaging guest communications throughout the entire booking journey.
- Coordinate VIP arrivals, Marriott Bonvoy member experiences, celebrations, dietary requests, and special occasions.

Drive Events & Experiences

- Lead the planning and coordination of semi-private dining, private dining, and exclusive venue bookings.
- Manage event documentation, deposits, guest requirements, and operational handovers.
- Work closely with venue, culinary, and events teams to ensure exceptional execution.

Leverage Technology & Data

- Act as the hotel's subject matter expert for SevenRooms and IRIS.
- Manage venue inventory, table configurations, booking rules, and availability.
- Analyse booking trends, guest behaviour, cancellations, and demand patterns to drive performance.
- Identify opportunities to increase covers, improve conversion, and maximise revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage restaurant reservations, group bookings and event enquiries received by phone, email and SevenRooms.
- Deliver professional and personalised guest communication throughout the entire booking journey.
- Coordinate VIP, Marriott Bonvoy member, special-occasion and dietary requirements with venue teams.
- Manage semi-private dining, private dining and exclusive venue bookings, including event planning, documentation, deposits and operational handover.
- Act as the hotel’s subject-matter expert for SevenRooms and IRIS, providing guidance and support to venue teams.
- Maintain accurate reservation inventory, table layouts, booking rules, venue availability and seating allocations.
- Optimise reservation pacing, covers and venue utilisation while protecting operational capacity and service standards.
- Monitor booking patterns, cancellations and no-shows, recommending strategies to improve conversion and revenue performance.
- Prepare reservation reports and support operational forecasting through analysis of booking pace, covers, occupancy and demand.
- Develop and maintain reservation procedures, operational documentation and consistent booking processes.
- Work closely with venue, culinary and events teams to support the seamless delivery of group bookings and events.
- Support peak trading periods through venue presence and direct guest engagement when required.

What We Value for This Role:

- Previous experience in premium restaurant, hotel, venue reservations or events planning.
- A guest-focused mindset with the confidence to manage VIPs, group organisers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify revenue opportunities.
- Advanced capability in SevenRooms, OPERA and Microsoft Office, or the ability to become proficient quickly.
- Experience with Oracle MICROS Simphony, EMC reporting, IRIS or Marriott systems will be highly regarded.
