About the opportunity

As a Retail Customer Services Officer at Yandina LPO:

- You will be working in a dynamic, supportive environment with access to ongoing training and guidance on career development opportunities;

- You will work as part of a small team, but be equally confident and capable of working solo for short periods when required eg. driving our EV for parcel pickups.

About the role

- Casual (15-25 hours per week)
- Shifts will vary from 4hrs (12 - 4pm) to 8hrs p/d (8:30-5pm), depending on roster
- Store opening hours M-F - 8:30am - 5.00pm, Sat - 9:00am - 12:00pm
- Previous Post Office experience preferable but not essential as full training provided
- Start asap

What you will be doing:

- Performing customer sales and service transactions with a variety of customers;
- Managing & maintaining high value transactions accurately – including handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS;
- Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities;
- Accepting mail items for lodgment, and accurately assessing any applicable charges;
- Driving company EV vehicle to collect parcels from locally managed business customers;




- Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs;
- Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance;
- Maintaining commitment to Australia Post’s Occupational Health and Safety standards.

About You

Besides being a friendly, considerate person with a passion for excellent customer service, you will need to:

- Have demonstrated experience in cash handling/banking;
- Be an experienced driver with an impeccable driving record;
- Be physically fit and capable of lifting up to 16kgs of mail regularly, whilst standing for your shift;
- Have demonstrated experience in and a passion for superior customer service;
- Be trustworthy, confident, and a positive team member;
- Pass a police background check.

Pay: $35.00 – $42.00 per hour
