We have opportunities available formotivated and reliable Stable Hands with experienced horse handling skills and a love for horses at our established complex on course at Pakenham Race Course.

Some of the tasks for this position may include but are not limited to:

- Brush and groom, feed, handle, and exercise horses, and lead them to their stables
- Assemble, prepare, and store horse gear as directed
- Clean and maintain stables and training equipment, preparing, and storing bedding
- Loading and unloading horse walkers
- Saddling horses for track work
- Swimming horses
- General secure duties (sweeping & cleaning)

Experienced applicants only. You must have experience working with horses as you may be required to handle young horses and colts.



You will need to be physically fit enough to perform this work and be able to carry out instructions by being self motivated and proactive. You would also have your own vehicle and current drivers licence.

Hours of work:

- Monday to Saturday
- AM shift - 3.30am to 9am (approximately)
- PM shift - 1.30pm to 4.30pm (approximately)

Permanent & Casual Positions Available based on the Horse and Greyhound Training Award

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $17.70 – $33.85 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Tynong VIC 3813: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

- working with horses: 1 year (Required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
