About the role:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Provide individual support, case management and targeted interventions for students identified as being at risk of disengaging from education.
Identify barriers affecting student engagement and connect students with appropriate support services and community agencies.
Monitor student attendance and implement early intervention strategies in line with school attendance plans.
Develop positive partnerships with parents, carers and families to support student engagement and wellbeing.
Work collaboratively with guidance officers, teachers, members of the student support team and external stakeholders.
Facilitate or support programs that promote social and emotional wellbeing, resilience and positive learning outcomes.
Maintain accurate records of student contact, support strategies and referrals.
About you:

Demonstrates a genuine commitment to supporting young people and improving educational outcomes.
Has experience working with adolescents, families and vulnerable or at-risk young people.
Possesses strong communication, relationship-building and advocacy skills.
Can effectively manage complex casework and maintain appropriate documentation.
Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Has knowledge of community support services and referral pathways.
Displays resilience, initiative, empathy and sound professional judgement.
A suitable certificate qualification or higher is desirable
