Blackboard Varsity is looking for a casual shift supervisor to assist management over 2 -3 days per week (around 20 hours). Hours will be set and some general tasks listed below.
Experience leading a team is necessary.
Core Responsibilities
- Shift Leadership: Open and close the café, run busy shifts, and guide front-of-house staff.
- Customer Service: Greet guests, resolve complaints, and ensure quality food and drink delivery.
- Team Support: Coach crew members, delegate tasks, and assist with hands-on service.
- Compliance: Follow food safety, hygiene, and work health and safety (WHS) standards.
- Operations: Handle register transactions, balance cash drawers, and monitor stock levels.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous barista or café all-rounder background, with leadership experience preferred.
- Skills: Clear communication, fast problem-solving, and basic cash handling.
- Availability: Flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
