ABC Group Services are currently seeking qualified Sydney Light Rail Protection Officers (PICOW) to join our team for ongoing work on both PLR and SLR. Qualifications & experience
- Must have completed the Sydney Light Rail Protection Officer Course https://cert.edu.au/courses/nsw-courses/sydney-light-rail-protection-officer/
- Must have a General Construction Induction Card
- Must have a valid in date Cat 1 Rail Medical
- Must be able to pass regular drug and alcohol testing
- Must be willing to complete site specific inductions face to face and on-line inductions as required.
- Additional site specific training will be provided for differenct tasks.
- Immediate hiring preference will be given to POs with *SLR network experience -*Isolation Permit experience *currently onboarded on the Pegasus workforce training portal *availability the 15th & 16th August 2026 for a shutdown.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Manage work parties in and around the Light Rail corridor in Sydney and Parramatta
- Ensure any work carried out on the Light Rail Network is done safely and in accordance with the network rules and permit conditions.
- Ensure they and the work party comply with Light Rail Network rules and procedures.
- Report unsafe conditions and behaviours
- Ensure equipment is safe and fit for operation both before and after use.
- Communicating with LRV (Light Rail Vehicle) drivers (hand signals) and Operation Control Centre (OCC).
- Following correct routine and emergency procedures
- Ensuring that all members of their work party are fit for work.
