Remuneration package valued at up to $156,253.00. Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.

Position Information
Casuarina School is an Intensive Learning Support Placement School supporting students with complex trauma, mental health conditions, autism, emotional and behavioural disorders. We have a total of 49 students from Year 5 to Year 12 across 7 classes.
Our primary focuses are on student's social and emotional wellbeing and providing high quality, explicit and evidence based teaching and learning opportunities.
Selection Criteria
Approval to teach Special Education and/or demonstrated experience supporting students with Autism, trauma and complex behavioural needs.
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver differentiated, data-informed programs that use explicit teaching, evidence-based practice and high expectations to improve academic, social and behavioural outcomes.
Demonstrated effective classroom management skills that create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Strong organisational and interpersonal skills with demonstrated capacity to build positive, collaborative relationships with staff, students, parents/ carers and external providers.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
