About the role
The Fitness Instructor is responsible for delivering health and fitness services to older adults in the community, with a focus on improving mobility, strength, independence, and quality of life. Working within a multidisciplinary team, this role involves providing individual and group-based exercise sessions, following directions from allied health professionals. Key Responsibilities;
- Service Delivery: Safely execute, adapt, and progress clinically prescribed exercise programs for individuals and groups under the guidance of allied health professionals.
- Client Motivation: Use evidence-based behavioural strategies to keep clients engaged, energised, and moving safely.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, timely qualified records of sessions and progress while upholding strict safety and care standards.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with colleagues and external stakeholders to continuously refine and elevate our community programs.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential Criteria & Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Fitness (a degree in Exercise Science is highly desirable).
- Current Registration with a recognised industry body (e.g., AUSactive, ESSA).
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Full Driver’s Licence (unrestricted)
Experience & Skills
- Proven track record of delivering exercise programs for older adults in community or health settings.
- Deep understanding of exercise progression principles, health/safety regulations, and Aged Care Standards.
- Strong digital literacy (proficiency with Google Suite).
- Excellent time management skills and the confidence to work autonomously.
