Mechanics, Drivers, Forklift Operators Wanted

We are a company dedicated to serving the poultry industry in Australia. We are involved in all aspects of the poultry industry, from catching and transporting live birds from breeder farms to the processing plant, and from eggs to grown birds.

We are currently seeking Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Forklift Operators and Truck Drivers to join our team of skilled and hard-working individuals to work full time to assist with our fleet of trucks and trailer repairs, transporting live birds from the breeder farms to the processing plant, transporting everything from eggs to grown birds or moving live birds around the farms.

These roles will operate out of our Hanwood site in Griffith, NSW under MULTIFERT Pty Ltd

Heavy Vehicle Diesel Tasks & Responsibilities

- Truck, trailer and machinery service and repairs
- Scheduled maintenance
- Experience with finding mechanical faults within our vehicles
- Experience repairing mechanical equipment
- Maintaining a safe working environment within the workshop

Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic Qualification & Experience

- Diesel mechanic trade qualification
- Experience performing routine services, maintenance, and repairs
- RTA and aircon ticket (desirable)
- HR Licence is required (HC or MC will be desirable or if willing to upgrade)
- Able to work at our depots
- Having strong knowledge of Scania Trucks. (Desirable)
- Meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Forklift Licence (desirable)

Truck Driver Tasks & Responsibilities





- Drive and operate trucks.
- Conduct safety checks of the vehicle
- Load and unload cargo
- Guide the truck into position for loading and unloading
- Calculate weights to ensure load limitation is not exceeded and there is an even distribution of weight
- Ensure cargo is safely secured throughout the trip
- Operating the truck safely and following all road safety rules and traffic laws, especially those relating to trucks
- Maintaining documentation, including loading documentation, delivery certification, timesheets and records of any safety incidents

Truck Drivers Qualification & Experience

- Current HC Licence
- Minimum 1-3 years heavy vehicle driving experience required
- Strong reversing skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Clean driving record

Forklift Operators Task & Responsibilities

Operate forklift in a secure and efficient manner

- Follow animal welfare and biosecurity requirements at all times
- Load and unload modules from the trailer and place in the shed for catching
- Manually pick up chickens
- Load chickens into modules
- Support crew members during the catching process
- Ensure draw counts are as per requirements advised by Catching Crew Leader
- Follow all safe work procedures

Forklift Operators Qualification & Experience

Must be physically fit, able to bend to pick up the Chickens when not operating the Forklift

- 1-2 years forklift experience Desirable
- Willing to work day or Night Shifts
- Able to follow safety procedures
- Poultry industry knowledge an advantage
- Required: LF Forklift Licence

Pay: $78,000.00 – $87,000.00 per year
