Requirements for this role
- Flexible availability 7 days (Kitchen closes 2-2:30pm daily)
- 1 year of relevant work experience in busy commercial kitchen
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items accurately and efficiently during service periods
- Maintain food presentation, portion control and quality standards
- Support menu consistency with recipes and procedures
- Assist with daily prep, stock rotation and ordering
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness, hygiene and safe food handling at all times
- Collaborate closely with front-of-house and management teams
Skills and experience
- Previous experience as a cafe or short-order cook (minimum 1 year preferred)
- Sound knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
- Strong on prep and service, able to manage multiple orders at once
- Solid teamwork and communication skills
