Performance Analyst

- Salary: $97,955 - $111,142 (Plus Superannuation)

The Role

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Performance Analyst with strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to translate data-driven insights into actionable evidence-based advice. The ideal candidate can interrogate and interpret complex data sets and will be generating and communicating strategic insights to a range of stakeholders.

Main accountabilities:





- Undertakes technical data analysis and modelling and prepares reports
- Researches and develops recommendations in a specific field of expertise
- Researches and applies advanced theoretical knowledge in a specialised field to operational problem solving
- Contributes expertise to a team working on complex projects

The Team

The position of Performance Analyst forms a part of the Policy and Strategy branch within the Skills and TAFE group.

Skills and TAFE (S&T;) focuses on enabling Victorians to access the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to participate in today's workforce, prepare for future jobs, and achieve their educational aspirations. Policy and Strategy Branch (PSB) leads the system and strategic policy settings of Victoria's vocational education and training (VET) system so that it delivers high quality outcomes for learners and the Victorian economy.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:

- Data Literacy: Ability to utilise advanced excel formulas, pivot tables and generation of data charts is required.
- Data Literacy: Considers data sources, collection and structure impacts in the delivery of data analysis. Generates descriptive statistics and relevant data visualisation leading to decisions under the guidance from subject matter experts.
- Systems Thinking:



Assesses situations and identifies the best systems tools for analysing, understanding the system and addressing problems; Can apply system archetypes to identify common dynamics that appear in different situations.
