About the role
Tetris Group is seeking a Licensed Industrial Electrician to join our team on a full time basis with work Ute supplied. This is a key position within our operations, where you will take responsibility for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in an industrial environment. As a Licensed Industrial Electrician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our electrical infrastructure, directly contributing to the smooth operation of our business and the safety of our workforce.
Key responsibilities
- Install, test, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and systems in accordance with industry standards and relevant legislation
- Diagnose electrical faults and mechanical problems using testing equipment and troubleshoot complex systems to restore full operation
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to minimise downtime and ensure optimal performance
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to plan and execute installation and repair work
- Ensure compliance with all electrical safety regulations, including the Electrical Safety Act and relevant Australian Standards
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including maintenance logs and spare parts usage
- Collaborate with other trades and departments to coordinate work schedules and ensure efficient project completion
- Conduct electrical safety inspections and testing, such as PAT testing and earth continuity testing
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior electricians and apprentices as required
What we're looking for
- Current NSW electrical licence (Licence to Work as a Licensed Electrician or equivalent) demonstrating competency in industrial electrical work
- Proven experience working as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 3–5 years in a similar role
- Sound knowledge of electrical theory, industrial control systems, PLC programming (desirable), and three-phase electrical systems
- Competency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and technical documentation
- Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment, such as multimeters, insulation testers, and clamp meters
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices, including electrical safety, lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures, and confined space work
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and the ability to document work clearly and accurately
- Current First Aid Certificate (desirable but not essential)
