San Churro is Australia's favourite churro and hot chocolate café, dedicated to bringing people together over delicious food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our Mandurah store is a busy and vibrant venue, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and responsible Duty Manager to join our team on a part time basis.
About the Role
This is an ideal opportunity for a university student or recent graduate looking for flexible part-time work — 2 to 3 days per week — to gain hands-on leadership and hospitality management experience.
As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily café operations during your shift, leading the team, ensuring outstanding customer service, and maintaining our high standards of food safety and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead floor staff during your shift
- Ensure smooth day-to-day café operations
- Deliver exceptional customer service and handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally
- Open and/or close the store as required
- Cash handling, reconciliation and end-of-day procedures
- Monitor food safety and hygiene standards
- Support staff rostering and training as needed
- Maintain a positive and energetic team environment
About You
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service (café/restaurant preferred)
- A natural leader with strong communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and public holidays as rostered
- Barista experience is an advantage
- Available 2–3 days per week (including weekends)
