With a strong pipeline of hyperscale and colocation data centre projects secured across Australia, they are looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their Melbourne team and play a key role in the successful delivery of these landmark developments.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking to step into a senior position working on some of Australia's largest and most technically challenging data centre projects.
Working closely with Project Managers, Design Managers and site delivery teams, you will provide engineering leadership from project commencement through to commissioning and handover. You will be responsible for ensuring designs are practical, buildable, technically compliant and delivered to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the mechanical engineering delivery of major data centre projects from design through to completion.
• Review and manage HVAC designs to ensure technical accuracy, buildability and compliance.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, clients and internal project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical support to Project Managers and site teams during construction.
• Review mechanical drawings,
specifications and engineering documentation.
• Carry out engineering calculations including HVAC load assessments, pipe sizing and system performance analysis.
• Assist with procurement by reviewing equipment selections and technical submissions.
• Support commissioning activities, defect resolution and project handover.
• Ensure all works comply with Australian Standards, client specifications and project requirements.
• Mentor and support junior engineers within the business.
About You
• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience working for a mechanical contractor delivering large commercial or mission-critical projects.
• Previous experience delivering data centre projects will be highly regarded.
