Job responsibilities
1. Monitor livestock wellbeing and behaviour, promptly reporting any concerns.
2. Safely operate farm machinery, carry out routine equipment inspections, and assist with basic maintenance and adjustments.
3. Keep farm records accurate and up to date, including herd information and feed stock levels.
4. Use digital farm management systems and standard measurement tools as part of daily tasks.
5. Apply fundamental agricultural science principles and terminology to everyday farming activities.
6. Assist with artificial insemination programs and support fertilizer application when required.
7. Operate, oversee, and maintain contemporary dairy milking systems,
milking equipment and associated farm machinery.
8. Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient daily operations.
9. Track and document key data such as milk output, vat temperatures, and herd counts.
10. Follow all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) guidelines and uphold high standards of animal welfare.
