We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a full time basis.

About the role

Reporting to management, the Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all cost-related aspects of our building projects, from initial estimates through to final accounts. Your key duties will include:

·Providing cost advice from the early feasibility stage of each project, and developing detailed cost plans that serve as a tool for ongoing budgetary control

·Preparing cost estimates, budgets and quantity take-offs for residential construction, multi-unit development and heritage renovation projects

·Studying and interpreting architectural drawings, engineering specifications and proposed construction methods to inform accurate costings

·Advising on suitable construction methods,



materials and quality standards to achieve cost efficiency

·Preparing tender documentation and analysing tender submissions from subcontractors and suppliers

·Measuring and valuing completed work and preparing progress claims and payment schedules

·Tracking project costs against budgets throughout the construction period and beyond, and reporting on variances

·Assessing the cost impact of design changes, and measuring, valuing and negotiating variations

·Conducting site visits to assess progress and verify quantities

·Liaising with clients, builders, architects, engineers and other stakeholders

Skills and experience

·Bachelor qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field

·A minimum of one (1) year demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within residential construction

·Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and cost estimation

·Proficiency in relevant estimating and project management software

·Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills

·Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects

·Effective communication and negotiation skills

·Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

·Mandarin speaking is advantageous
