We're partnering with a respected Australian organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their established payroll team in Fremantle.
This is an opportunity to step into a senior position where you'll take ownership of accurate end-to-end payroll processing for a large workforce while acting as a key support to the Payroll Supervisor. Working as part of a collaborative team of five, you'll be trusted to handle complex payroll matters, provide guidance to junior team members and help drive best practice across the function.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end payroll across weekly, fortnightly and monthly pay cycles
- Support the Payroll Supervisor with the day-to-day management of payroll operations
- Review payroll for accuracy and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Interpret Modern Awards,
Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation
- Process superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax and Single Touch Payroll
- Manage terminations, leave reconciliations, allowances, deductions and back pay calculations
- Support and mentor Payroll Officers within the team
- Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations and assist with audit requirements
About You:
- 3+ years' experience in end-to-end payroll
- Solid knowledge of Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation
- Experience working in a high-volume, complex payroll environment
- Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical ability
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively
- UKG experience is advantageous but not essential
