Yard Hand Role (Forklift Ticket required but no experience is required) - St Mary's Location AM Shift

Our client located in St Mary's - is a National Leader in the distribution of Frames and Trusses. They are currently seeking Yard Hands with a Forklift License to join their growing team.

Position brief below

- Monday to Friday work with potential Weekend overtime where required
- Temp to Permanent position
- Dealing with timber wood materials repetitively
- Morning shift start times - 5am - 1pm or 10am - 6pm
- $34 per hour plus penalties
- Commence ASAP
- Manual Handling role with Forklift operation requirements if needed

Please bear in mind the position is manual handling and conducting roles off the forklift - so if you are interested in this role, you must be prepared to be on and off the forklift.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Within this hands on role, you will be responsible for a variety of manual tasks to assist in the day to day running of the yard, loading and unloading trucks, preparing orders for dispatch, manual handling and general hand duties and maintaining a clean workspace.





Previous experience within a similar position would be advantageous.
To be considered for this role, applicants MUST:

- Possess a Forklift License - no experience required - training provided
- Basic math's - will be required to measuring materials
- Experience using power tools also desirable
- Be available to work Monday - Friday with possible Saturday (overtime where required)
- Be physically fit (as manual handling will be involved)
- Be Reliable and Punctual
- Have own reliable transportation
- Be available to commence ASAP
- Have all relevant PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including Steel Cap boots / High Visibility Clothing (any other required PPE will be advised)

As per the application process, all successful applicants will be required to undergo a Pre Employment Medical (conducted by our Onsite Occupational Nurse during the interview stage) which includes a Drug and Alcohol test.
