The Opportunity
A growing Australian business is seeking a commercially minded finance professional to join the team in a broad, hands-on role that offers genuine ownership and the opportunity to influence business performance.

Initially offered as a 6-9 month contract, this position has a robust pathway to permanency. This opportunity will suit someone who enjoys operating across both the technical and commercial aspects of finance and is looking to take the next step towards a future finance leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
- Monitor financial performance and provide commercial insights
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with internal processes
- Support cash flow and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with process improvements and finance transformation initiatives
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to support operational decision-making
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

- CA or CPA qualification




- Experience in a Senior Financial Accountant, Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner or similar position
- Strong management reporting, budgeting and forecasting capability
- The ability to communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working across ERP and finance systems
- Previous experience within a growing, dynamic organisation will be highly regarded
