We're partnering with a leading Defence consulting organisation to recruit an experienced Defence Scheduler to support the delivery of major Commonwealth capability programs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced scheduler with strong Open Plan Qualified (OPP) experience who enjoys working across complex Defence projects. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining integrated schedules, providing schedule assurance and supporting program delivery across multiple workstreams.

Working closely with Program Managers, Project Managers, engineering teams and Commonwealth stakeholders, you'll provide schedule insights, reporting and analysis that support informed decision making and successful project outcomes.

- 9 month contract + 12 month extension option
- Canberra based
- NV1 Security Clearance (or higher) is mandatory

Key responsibilities

- Develop, maintain and optimise Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) across complex Defence programs
- Monitor project progress against key milestones, baselines and delivery objectives
- Conduct critical path analysis, schedule health assessments and variance reporting
- Identify schedule risks, dependencies and resource constraints and support mitigation planning
- Produce schedule performance reports, dashboards and executive-level reporting




- Support schedule assurance activities including baseline management and configuration control
- Work closely with project teams to integrate schedules across multiple workstreams
- Contribute to governance reviews and provide scheduling expertise throughout the project lifecycle

About you

- Recent experience working as a Project Scheduler within Australian Defence projects
- Demonstrated hands-on experience using Open Plan Professional (OPP).
- Active NV1 Security Clearance (minimum)
- Strong understanding of Defence project governance and delivery environments
- Experience developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
- Experience performing schedule analysis including critical path, float analysis and schedule performance reporting
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across engineering, project management, commercial and Commonwealth teams
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive and collaborative approach
- Experience supporting CASG, CIOG, Joint Capabilities Group or other Defence capability programs
- Exposure to major acquisition, sustainment or ICT delivery projects
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and Defence reporting frameworks
