Labourpower are recruiting for an experienced Machine Operator to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Padstow.
We are seeking applicants with hands-on experience operating large industrial manufacturing machinery in a production environment. Experience operating quilting, stitching, laminating or other automated textile/fabric processing equipment will be highly regarded. This is not a general machine operating role – previous experience setting up and operating large industrial production machinery is essential.
Shift:
- Monday to Friday
- 5:00am – 1:00pm
- Overtime available as required
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate large industrial production machinery to manufacture high-quality products.
- Set up and adjust machinery to suit different production specifications.
- Read and interpret production sheets and work instructions.
- Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments where required.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet company standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Manual handling of materials throughout the production process.
To be successful you will have:
- Previous experience operating large industrial manufacturing machinery (essential).
- Experience with automated textile, fabric, foam, stitching,
quilting or similar production equipment is highly regarded.
- Ability to read and follow production specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Availability to work overtime when required.
- Current driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
