Job description:
Whitehaven is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Project Team at our Blackwater operation.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of capital and operational projects within one of Australia's leading mining environments.

About the Role
Reporting to the Project Lead, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing the planning, execution and delivery of a portfolio of vital projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule and within budget.
The successful candidate will work closely with site operational teams, contractors, engineering disciplines and key stakeholders to deliver outcomes supporting the success of the operation.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of site-based projects.
* Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets and resources.
* Coordinate contractors,



consultants and internal stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and statutory requirements.
* Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions where required.
* Prepare project reports and communicate progress to key stakeholders.
* Drive continuous improvement and project execution excellence.

About You:
* Previous relevant mining industry experience.
* Demonstrated experience managing construction, infrastructure, maintenance, or capital projects within a mining environment.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and contractor management skills.
* Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Proven ability to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
* Robust communication and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications
* Formal qualifications in Engineering is required.
* Project Management qualifications and/or relevant industry certifications will be considered favourably.
