About the Position

As the Electrical Commissioning Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical commissioning activities for major Data Centre projects across Melbourne's western suburbs. Working closely with project teams, clients, and contractors, you will ensure HV and LV electrical systems are safely tested, commissioned, and handed over to the highest industry standards while delivering technically sound outcomes on complex, mission-critical infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead all electrical commissioning activities from planning through to practical completion and handover.
- Develop and manage commissioning plans, schedules, procedures, and documentation.
- Coordinate commissioning of HV and LV systems, including switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, and associated electrical infrastructure.
- Work closely with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, clients, and commissioning agents.
- Manage testing, energisation, fault-finding, and system verification activities.




- Monitor commissioning progress and ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Identify and resolve technical issues while maintaining project schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, quality, and client requirements.
- Chair commissioning meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and support site commissioning teams.

Experience Required

- Proven experience as an Electrical Commissioning Manager, Commissioning Lead, or Senior Electrical Engineer.
- Demonstrated experience delivering Data Centre projects or other mission-critical facilities.
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- High Voltage (HV) systems
- Low Voltage (LV) systems
- Transformers
- Switchboards and switchgear
- UPS systems
- Generators
- Protection systems
- Power distribution networks

- A thorough understanding of electrical testing and commissioning methodologies.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and project teams.
