The team you’ll be joining

Our Australian team consists of approximately 50 highly skilled engineers, and it is expanding rapidly due to the growth of large-scale hybrid projects.

What you’ll be leading

Asa Protectionand Control Engineer,youwillplayacriticalroleinthedesign,implementation,andcommissioningofelectricalprotectionsystemsforlargescalephotovoltaic(solarfarm)projectsacross Australia.

Youwillberesponsibleforensuringthesafe,reliable,andefficientoperationofhigh-voltage(HV)gridconnections,,relaysettingsandconfiguration,coordinationstudies,andsupportingcommissioningactivitiesonsite.

You’ll report to the Head of substation.

Your main responsibilities:

- DesignHVprotectionschemesforgrid-tiedsolarfarms(e.g.,primaryandbackupprotection,faultdetection,islandingprotection).
- Performcoordinationandselectivitystudiesforprotectionsettings.




- Configureandtestprotectionrelays(e.g.,SEL,Siemens Siprotec,ABBRelion).
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing(FAT),Site Acceptance Testing(SAT),andcommissioning.

- Reviewandvalidategridcompliancestudies(includingR1/R2submissionsforAEMO).
- Troubleshootandresolveprotection-relatedissuesduringconstructionandoperationphases.

- Ensurealignmentwith Australiangridcodesandnetworkoperatorstandards.
- LiaisewithNSPsandAEMOduringtheconnectionapprovalprocess.
- Contributetotechnicalriskassessmentsandsupportprojectdeliveryschedules.

The profile we’re looking for

- Master’s/Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in Protection & Control engineering,
- Experience managing recruitment, employee relations, and performance management processes.

- StrongunderstandingofHVsystems(33kV,66kV,132kVandabove)andprotectionprinciples.
- Experiencewithrelayconfigurationtools(e.g.,DIGSI,SELAcSELerator,PCM600).
- Familiaritywith Australiangridconnectionprocessesandstandards.
- Abilitytointerpretsingle-linediagrams,protectionschematics,andinterlockinglogics.




- Excellentproblem-solvingskillsandabilitytoworkindependentlyandinmultidisciplinaryteams
