Position Summary

Pioneer IT provides managed IT support, network installation, network and server monitoring, server and workstation maintenance, backup and disaster recovery, VMware, remote access, Microsoft 365, website hosting, hardware services and security services in the Canberra region

Key Duties and Responsibilities Network Design and Infrastructure Engineering

Analyse clients’ operational requirements and design appropriate network and systems architecture for small and medium-sized business environments.

Develop, interpret and maintain network diagrams, system architecture specifications, technical documentation, data-flow diagrams and infrastructure configuration records.





Design and implement local area networks, wide area networks, virtual private networks, wireless networks and secure remote-access solutions.

Configure and deploy routers, managed switches, firewalls, wireless access points, network gateways and related communication equipment.

Establish network addressing, routing, switching, segmentation, virtual local area networks and secure connectivity between client locations.

Assess existing network infrastructure and recommend improvements to performance, availability, scalability and security.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor of Commerce or an equivalent qualification

Minimum two (3) years of relevant experience
