LO-GO Appointments is seeking a Finance Officer with strong asset accounting experience for a full time 12-month contract.

This role will oversee Council's asset portfolio, support audits and compliance activities, and support the maintenance of accurate asset and financial records.

Responsibilities:

- Manage Council's fixed asset register, including infrastructure, property, fleet, plant and equipment and technology assets.
- Process capitalisations, disposals, and depreciation.
- Reconcile asset revaluations and maintain accurate asset records.
- Reconciliations and financial reporting activities.
- Support audits,



compliance activities, and continuous process improvements.
- Manage Council’s insurance portfolio.

Skills / Experience Required:

- Finance or accounting background with sound understanding of accounting principles.
- Demonstrated experience working with fixed assets, including capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, revaluations, and reconciliations.
- Local government experience or similar regulated or asset-intensive environments such as government agencies, utilities, statutory authorities, or large infrastructure organisations.
