Regional Manager, Mineral Resources Development (APAC)

Position Purpose

The Regional Manager, Mineral Resources Development (APAC) leads Graymont’s regional Mining and Geology function, providing strategic and technical leadership to a team of mining engineers and geologists responsible for the identification, evaluation, development, optimisation, and stewardship of the Company’s mineral resources.

The role partners closely with Operations, Commercial, Environment, Projects and Executive Leadership to ensure Graymont maintains a sustainable, long-term mineral resource portfolio while supporting operational excellence, regulatory compliance, rehabilitation, decarbonisation and continuous improvement initiatives across the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Leadership

- Champion Graymont’s Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures and standards, promoting a strong safety culture across the Mineral Resources Development (MRD) team.

- Demonstrate visible safety leadership by embedding HSE expectations into daily operations and decision-making.

- Ensure HSE objectives form part of annual performance planning and reviews for all direct reports.

- Lead in accordance with Graymont’s Values and contribute to strengthening the One Graymont culture.

- Foster a collaborative, accountable and high-performing team environment through coaching, mentoring and professional development.

Functional Leadership

- Lead the regional Mining and Geology teams to provide high-quality technical support to operational sites across APAC.

- Align geological and mining engineering activities with regional business priorities and operational requirements.

- Ensure consistency with global MRD standards, systems and best practices while sharing knowledge and lessons learned across regions.

- Develop team capability through succession planning, technical training and career development initiatives.

- Build effective relationships with Operations, Environment, Finance, Projects, external consultants, contractors, government agencies and industry stakeholders.

- Promote effective communication across functions to ensure timely delivery of business objectives.

Mineral Resources Management

- Develop and execute strategies that maintain a minimum 30-year Mineral Reserve life across Graymont’s quarry operations.

- Lead exploration,



resource evaluation and reserve definition programs, including greenfield and brownfield exploration opportunities.

- Oversee geological modelling, resource estimation and reserve reporting in accordance with company standards.

- Lead technical due diligence activities for acquisitions, divestments and strategic growth opportunities.

- Ensure timely, accurate and reliable geological and mining information is available to support operational and strategic decision-making

Mine Planning & Technical Services

- Oversee the development and delivery of annual and five-year mine plans that optimise resource extraction while meeting operational and statutory requirements.

- Provide technical leadership in mine design, sequencing, grade control and resource optimisation.

- Support operational sites through geological interpretation, mine planning advice and technical problem solving.

- Ensure mine planning activities align with long-term business objectives and sustainable resource management principles.

Budget & Capital Planning

- Develop, monitor and manage operating and capital budgets relating to Exploration Resource development, Drilling campaigns, Mine planning, Stripping programs

- Provide recommendations and business cases for capital investment and resource development activities.

Environmental Stewardship & Sustainability

- Support progressive rehabilitation, mine closure planning and environmental management initiatives across operational sites.

- Prepare annual rehabilitation liability estimates and disturbance reporting in accordance with company requirements.

- Support Graymont’s sustainability and decarbonisation strategies through responsible resource planning and operational improvements.

Continuous Improvement

- Drive continuous improvement through innovation, technology adoption and optimisation of mining and geological processes.

- Ensure geological databases,



mine planning systems and technical documentation are effectively maintained and secured.

- Lead or contribute to regional and global strategic projects as required.

- Ensure accurate, professional and timely reporting of departmental activities and performance metrics.

People Leadership

- Lead, coach and develop a geographically dispersed team of mining engineers and geologists.

- Set clear objectives, monitor performance and provide regular feedback.

- Foster collaboration, accountability and continuous learning.

- Build capability and succession within the regional technical team.

Qualifications

Essential

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology or a related discipline.

- Minimum 15 years’ experience in mining engineering or geology within an operational mining environment.

- Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams.

- Extensive experience in mineral resource evaluation, Reserve estimation, Mine planning

- Exploration and resource development

- Robust stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple organisational levels

- Current driver’s license

- Valid passport with the ability to undertake international travel.

Desirable

- Postgraduate qualifications in Mining Engineering, Geology or Business.

- Experience working across multiple countries or regions.

- Experience within industrial minerals, limestone or quarrying operations.

- Knowledge of relevant mining legislation across the APAC region.
