About the Role:
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join this specialist area of practice. This senior clinical role sits at the heart of the service, working both autonomously and in close partnership with a skilled multidisciplinary team.
The role offers variety and flexibility, encompassing consultation, assessment, treatment and care coordination, alongside providing expert clinical advice and education to colleagues and partner services. You will actively contribute to the development and ongoing delivery of high quality, responsive services. You will work closely with primary care and disability residential providers to address health priorities while also helping shape future Above all, the role is committed to supporting equitable, positive experiences and outcomes for patients with intellectual disability and mental health needs, and for their families.
Skills and experience:
- Experience in intellectual disability and mental health nursing (preferred)
- Comprehensive knowledge of the NZ health system
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management.
- Strong team player that has excellent communication
- Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) and current APC
- Current NZ Driver's licence
