Job Description

Role Title: Research Specialist
Location: Melbourne and Perth

This is a commercially focused, client-facing research and analytics role within Accenture Research's Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) team. The role will work across industry sectors to help clients solve complex business, economic and policy questions using a combination of analytical thinking, research, data analysis and stakeholder engagement. These questions may range from: How could AI reshape the Australian labour market to 2030? to What might be the economic impact of critical minerals processing on the Australian economy?

We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical capability, commercial curiosity, and the ability to translate complex information into compelling insights and recommendations. You may come from a consulting, economics, policy, analytics, strategy or research background. The ideal profile combines structured problem-solving, data literacy and strong communication skills. Someone who can move comfortably between analysis, stakeholder engagement and storytelling.

As a Research Specialist, you will be expected to take ownership of workstreams, engage directly with clients and internal stakeholders, and contribute to the development of research approaches and analytical frameworks with increasing independence. Success in this role depends as much on collaboration and relationship-building as it does on technical capability. You will work closely with colleagues across industries, functions and geographies to bring together diverse perspectives and expertise.

The ideal candidate will bring a naturally curious mindset, a growth orientation and a team-oriented approach to problem-solving. We are looking for someone who enjoys learning new topics, working across diverse industries and building networks to solve complex challenges. You should be comfortable balancing analytical rigour with the pace and pragmatism required in a commercial and client-facing environment.
