The Role

We’re seeking a hands on Workshop Supervisor / FSR to lead our Through-Life Support (TLS) maintenance operations in Brisbane.

This is a dual-role leadership position where you will manage the workshop and team, while also delivering field service support including maintenance, repair and training.

You’ll work with advanced systems including robotics, UAVs/UGVs, sensors and electronic warfare equipment, ensuring operational readiness for mission critical environments.

Key responsibilities

Workshop & Team Leadership

- Lead and coordinate maintenance, repair and calibration activities

- Supervise and mentor FSR technicians

- Manage workflow, scheduling and resource planning

Through-Life Support Delivery

- Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programs

- Manage spare parts, tools and test equipment

- Ensure accurate reporting via CMMS (Fiix) and CRM systems

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

- Act as primary point of contact for TLS customers and OEMs

- Prepare and review maintenance and repair quotes

- Support demonstrations, trials and field deployments

Training & Compliance

- Develop and deliver maintenance training packages

- Maintain technical documentation and certifications

- Ensure compliance with QMS, WHS and Defence regulatory frameworks

Essential Qualifications and Experience

Essential

- Qualification in Electronics or Communications





- Demonstrated experience in maintenance of electronic systems

- Supervisory or team leadership experience

- Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain NV1 clearance

- Current driver’s licence and passport

- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment

Desirable

- Defence, military or first responder background

- Experience with UAVs, robotics or EW systems

- Import/export or regulatory compliance knowledge

- Forklift licence, RePL (drone), radiation licence or similar

Personal Attributes

- Strong technical troubleshooting capability

- High attention to detail and safety focus

- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

- Willingness to travel and support operations in agile environments
