Join Monash IVF Group and help lead the future of reproductive care.
At Monash IVF Group, we are changing the way society thinks and acts in relation to fertility. We remove stigma, empower people to make informed decisions earlier, and work every day to improve people’s chances of having a family.

We know starting a family is not always easy. It can take bravery from our patients and deep empathy from the people supporting them. That is why we look for team members who are compassionate, caring and genuinely motivated to make a difference. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

About the role
As a Graduate Scientist, you will join our collaborative Gold Coast Embryology team and learn under the guidance of the Laboratory Supervisor, Team Leaders and experienced Senior Scientists. From day one, you will contribute to the laboratory services supporting patients throughout their fertility journey while developing your technical expertise in a supportive, hands-on learning environment.

Through structured training, regular feedback and competency sign-off, you will progressively build the skills and confidence required to work toward a fully trained Scientist role. You will:

- Develop strong foundations in safe laboratory practice, including specimen handling, chain of custody and witnessing, aseptic technique, quality control, equipment care and laboratory information systems.

- Train progressively in embryology procedures under supervision, including sperm preparation, oocyte handling, fertilisation and embryo checks, embryo culture, media preparation, and oocyte and embryo warming.

- As your competencies grow, begin training in more complex procedures such as embryo transfer, vitrification, ICSI and cryostorage management.

- Maintain accurate patient records and data,

follow approved procedures, contribute to productivity, quality, performance and compliance standards, and work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, accurate and compassionate patient care.

Whilst this role is a 12 month parental leave coverage there is potential for future qualified opportunities.

About you
You are passionate about making a meaningful difference for patients and their families. You thrive in a collaborative high-throughput laboratory environment, value quality and patient safety, and are eager to develop your clinical embryology expertise. You will bring:

- A recognised degree in biological science, health science or a related scientific discipline (a Master’s degree in embryology or reproductive science is highly regarded).

- A genuine interest in clinical embryology and ART, with a strong desire to learn embryo transfer, vitrification, ICSI and embryo biopsy.

- The enthusiasm and ability to learn the RTAC Code of Practice, quality management systems, and relevant Australian state and federal legislative requirements.

- Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong commitment to accuracy, quality and patient safety.

- Well-developed computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.

- The ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
